Larry, Chicago Guy here and soon locating to Lauderdale. I have fished all my life in fresh water. Your salty friends are too say the least ... intriguing and sort of scary..... I have no clue as to what is safe to eat, touch or otherwise catch. I caught a "lookdown / moofish in the ICW side channel where I am going to live soon... First salty fish for me.... at 50yrs old. But WOW what a kick it was... I spoke to some Floridians and all I took from our conversation was that "Northern boy should stay North" Fact is I am relocating my business and locating to stay, in Ft. Lauderdale. Semi retired now and looking forward to some new and fantastic fishing in my future. I too,am a light tackle guy. I enjoy the art of the hunt and the thrill of the opportunity, hell the fish is an added plus. But I sure could use some non-biased info and if your of a mind too, I would be most appreciative. Thank You, Respectfully, Dave.
