Telč, pronounced Telch, is in the southern Moravia region of the Czech Republic. Surprisingly the town of 6,000 people possesses one of Europe’s largest and most beautiful squares. Náměstí Zachariáše z Hradce (Zacharias of Hradec Square) is surrounded by arcaded buildings rebuilt in the late 16th century with Renaissance façades. Some were later remodeled with Baroque or Rococo façades. |
