Metsovo

Greece

Metsovo is in northern Greece near the Pindus mountains, about 450 km north of Athens. Albania and Macedonia are north of the area. It is known for its woodwork and weavings. We found it a fascinating and picturesque place, quiet - meaning in those far off days, fewer tourists than other places. I understand it is now on the popular tourist route.
