A pair of chickadees attempting to excavate a birch snag (standing dead tree); sadly, the snag is so fragile that it could topple at any moment, and worse than that, they are excavating two nest holes, one with no bottom to it! They may be inexperienced, youngsters born last year and figuring it out as they go. They look like they might be having some differences here!
