Bird's nest fungi (Cyathus)

This shows the exterior of the "nest". It is growing on wood chips, and is about 5mm in diameter. It looks a bit like a goblet here, rather than a nest.

An interesting fungi. I didn’t realize there were many kinds of bird’s nest fungi and this one looks like the wood it’s on.
