There was a team of these guys, perhaps 10 of them, removing snow from the Rideau River near its outflow into the Ottawa River, prepping for icebreaking.
A constant battle in your winters, I imagine. When we lived on Long Island the Department of Transportation (I think) plowed our streets several times a day, blocking the end of our driveway so my husband had to go out with the snowblower each time and clear it should we unwisely decide to get out on the road.
