Pine Imperial moth (Eacles imperialis), #7704

Larose Forest

This gorgeous moth, the Pine Imperial moth (Eacles imperialis), is about as big as my hand. It is the chance to see these beautiful creatures of the night that keeps me going out to the forests at night, sometimes staying until 3 a.m.
