Double-toothed prominent moth caterpillar (Nerice bidentata), #7929

Larose Forest

Unfortunately, this caterpillar had been caught by a spider which had paralzyed it. This species feeds on the edge of elm leaves where its toothed appearance makes it look similar to the serrated edge of the elm leaf.

That's a great looking caterpillar. Too bad it won't have the chance to become a moth.
