Dogwood sawfly larvae (Macremphytus tarsatus)

Reveler Conservation Area

I'd been hoping to find some of these sawflies at the Reveler site so I could add them to the insect inventory. And finally I did, after searching hundreds of dogwoods on site. I think they are rather handsome and colourful.
