Spider wasp (Episyron)

Reveler Conservation Area

As their name suggests, these wasps hunt spiders. There are many species of spider wasps, and it seems that ones in this genus focus their hunt on orbweavers with which to provision their nests. The adults nectar on flowers, as here on wild parsnip.
