These plants are not abundant yet at the site, but are common. They are non-native and considered fairly invasive once they get a toehold in an area. They especially like abandoned pasturelands, open weedy areas, and roadsides. I have seen them form huge single species stands in some areas, squeezing out more desirable native plants.
