Beaver

Parc Eco des Laurentides

After hiking for several hours we came across a smaller lake surrounded in part by a wetland and a long channel. From high atop a huge boulder we could look down to where a couple of beaver were interacting. They were calling and circling each other, sometimes swimming together, sometimes one following the other, sometimes as in this shot, they came together and then turned and swam away in opposite directions before circling around and meeting again. It was such a pleasure to see them.
