Orbweaving spider egg sac

This is the egg sac of one of the orbweavers (Araneidae). The familiar yellow and black orbweavers we see most commonly, make a different sort of egg sace.

Interesting and intricate weaving. When I first saw this on the PAD it reminded me of a praying mantis egg case.
