Photographed near the Ottawa River. You can see this insect has been visiting milkweeds because of the yellow pollen sac or pollinia, on one of its feet.

OMG ~ I saw one of these in Oklahoma 2 weeks ago! The farmer told me about them and then he crushed it with his foot.... I'll send you a photo of it. Great capture Christine! V
