Braconid wasp cocoon, probably Meteorus

Found near the Ottawa River in east end Ottawa. This very small cocoon is suspended by a single but strong, thread. Braconid wasps are tiny, some are so small they are difficult to see, and many are parasitic on other insects, often on insects perceived as pests, such as caterpillars.
