Jumping spider (Phidippus purpuratus) with cricket

This feisty little jumping spider (approx. 10 mm) had caught a cricket, much large than the spider as you can see. The spider was dragging it around with a bit of difficulty. Jumping spiders are undeniably cute!

It is cute as long as it doesn't jump on me. :) Fantastic close up of this tiny spider. V.

Super capture. Is the spider camouflaged to the cricket?

Wow, cool framing, Nice work. Nicely seen. Not sure I would have noticed it except for the color of the cricket. Looks almost like a selective color. Nice camouflage. V
