Trout lily (Erythronium americanum)

Also known as the dog-tooth violet. It produces thousands of leaves annually, but very few flowers, relative to the number of leaves. Photographed in Montfort Woods.

Beautiful image and framing. I have seen some chocolate lilies in the park but people have picked them after a while.
