There was enough deep fresh snow a few days ago outside the city, to provide great opportunities to see animal tracks and other signs, such as this snow tunnel made by a meadow vole.

I love to see tracks and footprints in the snow. Called campagnols in French we have many of these charming little creatures in the garden. (they play havoc in the lawn though!)
