The fragment of poetry by e.e. cummings, incorporated in the photo, resonates with me! edward estlin cummings (he stopped using capital letters) was born in 1894 and died in 1962, yet his poetry still seems fresh and current today. He was in his time, controversial, not only for his "free-verse" style, but for the content of some of his poems. Although born in New Hampshire, he lived for a good part of his life in Greenwich Village, NYC, which to me, seems to fit entirely with what I know of him! I discovered his poetry when I was 18, and have been a fan ever since. A book of his poetry that I bought all those (long) years ago, is with me still.
