Photographed in the Fletcher Wildlife Garden. This little red has made his home right next to a walnut tree and during the autumn he spent many hours gathering all the walnuts he could find and creating a stash for winter. Most of the cache has gone now, so he resorting to various other food sources including the 'cones' and bark of sumac, seeds of manitoba maples, maple sap, etc.
