Midland clubtail (Gomphus fraternus)

Here is a back view of the Midland Clubtail. This one was photographed at Beechwood Cemetery. The next day I found another one, this time at Rockcliffe Park, perhaps a couple of kms or less as the dragon flies.

Gomphus Species are always fantastic dragonflies. Maybe because of the broadened abdomen.

Gossamer wings and a striking, bright body, great combination, a truly fine capture. V
