This handsome big buck was at first, invisible to me. Deer blend in so well with the browns and greys of this time of year. When I did finally see him, still at a distance (this photo is unfortunately tightly cropped), he stood and stared for some time, before eventually moving off at a majestic pace. It was then that I saw he was with a doe, who had been completely hidden in the vegetation.
