Jumping Spider in leafy shelter

I saw a dead leaf that was attached to a weedy stem and looking more closely saw that it had been bound by strands of silk and carefully folded around the stem to create a shelter. I carefully stuck a grass stem into a hole to see if anything was in there, and out popped the head of a large jumping spider.

Interesting picture of "the home" of a spider and a good portrait too! V.

Your curiosity paid off, but the spider looks annoyed at being disturbed:) V

I have been reading about spiders lately, particularly these guys. I can't get over how cute jumping spiders are! They look and act so curious. This was a very keen observation on your part too.
