Firefly larva

Fireflies are beetles (Coleoptera), and this is the larva of one of the species. It is an odd looking creature, well-armored!

I know I've made this comment before but it is so great that you are sharing your photos and knowledge here on pbase. Today when I was out I found one of these firefly larva and because I remembered seeing this photo of yours I was able to identify it right away. That's happened many times now!
