Very beautiful textures Christine......and as we both know, a heaven for woodpeckers who's survival is dependent upon forest fires. Mother nature renewing herself. Vote :)

I like the silvery metallic texture you caught in this photo. I was going to say that this shot wins a "silver" medal for neat, but it really deserves the gold! I remember seeing the ash rain falling here some 50 km away when this fire happened.
