American crow eating.... something

Not sure what this crow was eating, but it looked like it might have been a rabbit's leg. It was obviously frozen and the crow was having to hack away at it.

Nice shot Christine. Maybe the crow is just doing its part in cleaning up roadkill??? My wife saw a Crow pick up a big Gray Squirrel by its tail last year and get it airborne; however, the end of the tail came off and the Squirrel fell back to the ground. So could it be a small Red Squirrel that this Crow caught and perhaps stashed away??
