Taken in the Arboretum, Ottawa. The grey squirrels create runs between trees and as can be seen, these are well trod. They can run quickly over the ground between the trees which provide them with safety in case of a nearby predator, usually a dog in this area, although a red-tailed hawk has been hanging around too.
