Honey bee (Apis mellifera) combs in the wild

Well, said Pooh, if I plant a honeycomb outside my house, then it will grow into a beehive.

This unusual sight is of a set of honeybee combs attached to a tall tree in the forest. Probably a swarm of honeybees escaped from a hive and built these combs. The following year, the nest had largely fallen down.

Very neat chapture Christine. The only time I've ever seen a photo of one of these combs was inside of someone barbeque and it was pretty scary. Wonderful shot. Vote :)

les nids d'abeilles sont rarement visibles et je crois bien que c'est la première fois que j'en vois un.
C'est une superbe et très intéressante photo.
