My longtime friend John Matt died in Asheville, NC, on February 15th, 2015. John Matt was a very talented photographer and for many years had galleries on PBase. A born and bred Southerner, he strayed to Philadelphia, Chicago and finally Maine before returning to live in Asheville two years ago. He was bright beyond his own good. Friendship with him was always interesting but not always easy. I think he would say the same of me. His last several years were plagued by a number of debilitating illnesses that eventually led to his death. Some of you may remember him. Que Dieu te benisse.
