This was the day I had booked a "Day in the Wilderness" — involving a flight in a light plane to Port Davey. But all flights were cancelled because "a cold front is coming through." We went to Port Arthur instead, and yes, the cold front came through just as forecast. But we saw, between showers, Australia's only sea canal, Tasmanian devils being fed, birds doing clever things, some interesting coastal geology, and the ruins of the convict settlement at Port Arthur. All very educational. Port Davey next time.
Only the Port Arthur pictures are here. the others are in the previous sub-gallery: https://pbase.com/lambsfeathers/tas_peninsula And we did get our "Day in the Wilderness" on our next Tasmanian trip. Wonderful! See: https://pbase.com/lambsfeathers/portdavey
