Everybody identified this as an outside dunny, but the sculptor Bjorn Godwin titled his
work “Pavilion / the daily double.” and wrote: “Typologically this work belongs to the Renaissance
garden pleasure pavilion and is a contemporary Sydney notion of the Arcadian ‘rustic hut’.” If,
like the couple in my picture, you listened at the door you would hear a man’s voice saying he
was “studying form” and then you would hear a horse race being called. Price $22,000.
