Thanks for the identification. I wouldn't have picked it, because the plant looks much less spectacular
than in the illustrations I have found of Bursaria spinosa. The flowers and leaf shapes match, though.
This was an unspectacular untidy thorny shrub growing in shade on the basalt cap of Mount Banks
