Suburban swamp wallaby

West Head, Kuring-gai National Park, Sydney view map

Wallabia bicolor. It's stretching the definition of suburbia a bit to include this, although West Head is
shown on the Sydney City street directories. Back in my taxi-driving days, I found that some visitors from
overseas expected to see kangaroos hopping along Sydney streets. I had to disillusion them; but there is wildlife
like this in bushland on the outer limits of suburbia. For example, see: http://www.pbase.com/lambsfeathers/kangaroos

We still get that expectation from our head office visitors from the US.
