Technically speaking !!

Do you use your left eye or your right ?
Do you use your left eye for portraits and your right for landscapes ?
Or do you use the same eye all of the time ?

and is there a right or a wrong way or just whatever your comfortable with ?

As you can see I'm using my left eye for this SP reflection in the mirror...which I flipped
since Canon looks silly spelt backwards !!

other sizes: small medium large original auto

good Am Ms laine82
90 percent left eye mix of both for the rest
I would give any thing for a left handed camera

I use my right eye but its not as sharp as my left so I am trying to switch. I beleive the right is a better eye to use as it gives your right hand a little more stability under the check and jaw on the right side of the body when you press the shutter. By the way I am left handed and then don't make a left handed shutter release and left hand menu controlled camera anywhere I know of!

Magical work!

That's a beautiful SP of yours, Laine and which eye I'm using? :) Oh.. interesting question, I'm using left eye. :)
poetry66616-Jul-2007 15:47
Defnitley my left eye...I think thats right...no left....yes right...okay left!
Guest 09-Jul-2007 06:44
Well. I'm lost by this last flip. I don't even know what I'm using. I'm starting to wonder is I do use an eye! ;-)
Susan Leigh09-Jul-2007 06:29
I'm a one eyed 'righty' ..but sometimes use both.
Although, now you have mentioned..I will try the left ;-)
shatterbug09-Jul-2007 04:56
I use my right eye all the time...but I had to think about it :-)
Guest 09-Jul-2007 02:15
Right eye dominant - used for everything that needs only one eye. Big mirror! Lots of room to do makeup and such! Just not while driving, ok?
René Lortie09-Jul-2007 00:00
Left in all circumstances, but both eyes open so I don't miss anything happening outside the viewfinder. ;-)
Cindi Smith08-Jul-2007 23:14
left all the time for me! Great shot of yourself, Laine!
Kathy Pedersen08-Jul-2007 23:03
I am a righty, lol! fun shot!!
Guest 08-Jul-2007 20:11
I'm a leftly, can't close the left eye so it stays glued to the view finder..fun idea..v
Chris08-Jul-2007 19:47
Always the right with the SLR. You got us thinking there laine - Chris
mario .n08-Jul-2007 18:46
great shot ! V
Johnny JAG08-Jul-2007 18:35
I use my right eye, although I'm short sighted in it!
I'm long sighted in my left eye, so they balance out!
Nicely flipped.
Gary Winters08-Jul-2007 17:42
Left all the time. :-)
Karen Stuebing08-Jul-2007 17:13
I can only close one eye, my left so that solves that dilemma. :) Great soft SP and Canon should pay you for advertising. V.
Guest 08-Jul-2007 17:06
nonaC! V
Guest 08-Jul-2007 16:55
Now ya got me wondering.... ;-) Pretty sure I use my right eye. Fun shot!
Wenche Aune08-Jul-2007 14:28
Cool SP. Always my right eye.
Martha Albuquerque08-Jul-2007 13:18
haha, great questions..
i use the same eye for everything.. :)* the left.. but never had my attention at it :)*
Karen Leaf08-Jul-2007 12:13
It is weird isn't it, which eye :)
Using my left eye with the diopter thing cranked all the way up so that I don't have to wonder if it's really that blurry in the VF :) then use the right eye to see what else I'm missing, which is funny since I can't see ANYTHING out of the right eye :) hehheheh
Carole Stevens08-Jul-2007 11:57
I use my left eye and yet Im right handed, how strange is that, I never realised this before; youve started a major thing now Laine lol!
Tom Tom08-Jul-2007 11:32
Great SP! I use my right eye
Jannik Lindquist08-Jul-2007 11:25
It depends on which eye is currently blocked by the kid I am usually carring on my shoulders :-)
beverley harrison08-Jul-2007 11:15

Andrew Vincent08-Jul-2007 10:01
Funny girl!!!

All I know is I should stop trying to take silhouettes of Penny against the sun, 'cause my right eye goes blurry for days!

VOTE!
Nicki Thurgar08-Jul-2007 09:05
well that's interesting because I'm going to have to put the camera up against my eye to find out now!! ;o) Hi Laine!!! *waving*
akleja08-Jul-2007 08:11
Neither. I just point the camera and click... :-)
QUERIDO08-Jul-2007 06:33

I'm a lefty as eyes go, and "nokiN - on heaven's door" seems to work! ~V~
Guenter Eh08-Jul-2007 06:15
Use always my left eye (I`m a left hander!) - both eyes open!
Hans Meerbeek08-Jul-2007 05:57
Always my left eye!
Bryan Murahashi08-Jul-2007 05:49
Fabulous SP. For me, the right eye, all the time.
Linda Willets08-Jul-2007 05:11

cool sp.. use my right eye.. left closed..
Robin Reid08-Jul-2007 03:28
Good question... right eye in eye piece... left eye closed
Char08-Jul-2007 02:53
Hi Laine,
This is a lot of food for thought. I usually close both eyes and rack off about 10 shots, hoping one of them will be what I've always wanted. LOL
J. Scott Coile08-Jul-2007 01:38
I'm with Chris...just my inner voice ;-) Mostly just my right inner voice :-)
Sheila08-Jul-2007 01:22
Use my left for everything as my right is useless and lazy and doesn't work :-)
Chris08-Jul-2007 00:57
Use the force, Laine.
Dave Wixx08-Jul-2007 00:41
I'm afraid I'm only inclined one way! Nonac just doesn't sound like a brand to buy!!
Guest 08-Jul-2007 00:26
Hi Laine. YOu look good w/ a Canon ( although I'm a Nikon girl)
Hummm...never thought about it but I always use my right eye for everything.
petesie08-Jul-2007 00:23
Right eye for everything....and I close the left. Does everyone do that?
petesie07-Jul-2007 23:55
My camera is in the car. I'll let you know later. That is also why your wedding ring is on your right hand, but not really because it is flipped.
Herb 07-Jul-2007 23:54
Right eye
northstar3707-Jul-2007 23:51
I use them all heheh
Coleen Perilloux Landry07-Jul-2007 23:48
I use whatever eye is seeing better at the time.
Guest 07-Jul-2007 22:53
Interesting!
I always use my left eye, Laine
