Fitzroy River
Central Queensland.
It's catchment covers an area of 150,000 square kilometres, thus making it the second largest river catchment in Australia. It's length is 480km.
Named in 1853, it's lower reaches are home to salt water crocodiles. One was captured in 2003 measuring 4 metres in length.
Had hoped to catch up with comments today but 2 of our home based flock of sheep gave birth...One with twins this morning, the other a single birth.
