# 23 Sign.....of spring

Signs..... of Spring are everywhere with the birds busy in the garden, building nests, feeding young.

http://www.anbg.gov.au/sounds/kookaburra.mp3

I was on my way to the clothes line when I realised this kookaburra was sitting close by.
The sun is very bright this morning so I had to manipulate him a little & still not a really good shot
but I don't have much time today.
My grateful thanks to those who gave me support on my broken image problem.
I logged out, logged back in & changed browsers ( Safari ) All seems to be working fine...such a relief.....belief that this is a super community of great friends once again is clarified !!!

Well, here we got frost in the mountains ... if you call them that. And the birds are stretched out on the wires, must be too cold to fly. Which I could fly south....

Is the bird really as big as he looks or was your lens about to hit him in the chest?
Robin Reid23-Sep-2008 00:09
Glad you got it straightened out. This is quite the famous bird.
Cindi Smith23-Sep-2008 00:07
I love how they fly free down there....I only see them in cages here. Spring has sprung for you while Texas is still trying to fight off Summer!
