Too much Crud by BigGa

Do you think my sensor needs cleaning ?? This is a 50% zoom of the bottom right corner of my SLRc pre its sensor clean today. I don't know what those sperm like shapes are .... I mean ... I love my camera ... but not that much ....
Besides ... that EF mount is probably a bit on the tight side ....

Note - I will be deleting this image and comments very shortly ;-)

I like how it makes everything weight to the lower right hand corner makes it want to rotate in a clockwise "over the top" direction.

Hrrmph. If I win, I've got a theme already: abstract impressionism. (Be prepared! You never know ...) - Warren

Thank you MCsaba. I see it takes another true artist to see beyond the veil of comedic wit that obscures my passionate empathic resonances with those true visionaries that fight against the chaos that is abstract impressionism.

Warren ... I'll get the sheep shots shot shortly.

Bingo! what else is "too much" if not this one. I like this photographically minimalist inrerpretation on the theme. MCsaba

Then arrange the sheep already! - Warren

Sheep can be arranged!

The transparent blobs are a mystery to me. I'm pretty sure they were as a result of my first (very unsuccessfull) cleaning attempt. I was VERY careful with the grease issue, but who knows? All I can tell you is that my recent attempt with an arctic butterfly didn't budge the smudges, however a further clean with an indentical swab to the first go seems to have worked fine for the smears and the butterfly picked up the vast majority of the remaining blobs.

We were expecting something involving sheep.

Seriously, the "sperm" appear to be smears of a transparent substance from a previous cleaning. I've had shapes like that on my 14n sensor but they were solid black, apparently grease from the camera's innards. I sometimes went through half a dozen sensor swabs getting that stuff off. I don't know what would be transparent like that unless you really did sneeze.

Maybe you should get a Hassy next time.

Wow ... that was a quick comment!
Who's lurking then :-)

If you've gotta sneeze, you should at least cover the camera.
