Visions of the Dreamtime Garden by Flick Merauld

my garden, Oxford, UK

This is a bit of fun and as such will probably not stay. It's my much loved garden photographed through a stained glass window decoration in the evening light.

Thanks Rick. I'm far too lazy to go the whole PS route with abstract, especially with all the lovely sun we've got at the moment to lie around in. I take your suggestion about the softer background, and it would certainly be one way of tackling it, but for myself it would then lose the point, which is that you see the garden past the hazy foreground, it draws you in. I think creating a softer garden would lose the focus of the subject and the eye would then wander around unresolved - but then that might be fun too ;-)

I like it as well. It is even a powerful thumbnail. I think I would like it better as a complete abstract. Not certain how you would creat that [I doubt not your abilities though]. Perhaps if the background was softer. Nice color. lvpg

Gosh, thanks David. Maybe I'll keep it then.

Hey Flick....well, I for one love this shot, and I hope it stays. What glorious shapes, angles, and color! It *IS* very dreamlike. -- DF
