I like this shot a lot, because of the symmetry and curves of the tucked head, which almost could be cropped within a square, while the coloration almost replicates a circular yin-yang design. The beak is strongly colored, but balanced by the almost scale-like hyper-feathers. For some reason my eye is drawn back to its miniscule, but definitely sharp, teeth...A bird with an attitude. --Kim

Is that goose using makeup? Great shot, composition, tones and colouring. - Stephen

Great image. The color on the eye really makes it feel like it is look straight into you. Very powerful! --Bryce

Just superb Jono. You actually need to look at the larger picture to see just how much detail you've been able to capture. Well done regards Paul.

As always--lovely. I really like the 'negative' space in this one and the tonality is just really nice. I guess I didn't read the whole thread---didn't realize you could add selective color.

Perfect recolouring, just enough and not too much. Nice composition too.
Flick.
