I think the D3 has the best iso performance of any camera available at this time. As long as you aren't underexposed and you don't crop too much you can get very good quality even at 6400.

Unbelievable quality at ISO 3200, but I think when you hit the perfect exsposure and don't add fill light software as you got it right then you get clean images when you shoot in good light. Its when you shoot in bad low light you get the noise. I think you shot proves it. You shot high ISO to get a faster speed but still had good light and hit the exsposure spot on that why it good.
