SHELTON, CT - At approximately 8:15pm on October 8, the Shelton Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at 11 Robert Frost Drive. Police were already on scene reporting heavy fire on the 1st and 2nd floors. Upon arrival of the first in fire units, it was obvious that an exterior attack would have to be made to knock down the heavy volume of fire before entry could be allowed. Soon after, the interior attack was begun and a primary search revealed a victim approximately 20 feet from the door. The victim was rapidly removed from the structure, but had unfortunately already perished. No cause has been given to the fire as of yet.
