櫻門後有一道石牆稱為"蛸石",因左端的石紋變色,遠看好像蛸(八爪魚)的形態.
櫻門蛸石是大阪城第一大石,長約11.7米,重約130公噸.
這裡原是櫻門後的斗形廣場,另有一道多聞櫓於1868年被燒毀.
