Lightening

Huge storm tonight after about an hours blackout and scaring the living bejessus outta me, thinking I had fried the CPU and drives on my computer since it's SO hot.
Oliver called wanted to know the settings for lightening. Ol! I don't know that kind of thing off the top of my head :) So when it got close enough to be scary I took the tripod inside and opened a window and played. Not too bad (and very lucky!) for a first attempt, I think. Esp since lightening scares me witless.

I came back and looked again. When writers say "lightning dancing across the sky" this is exactly what they mean. Take a good look. The dancer is heading towards the left of the picture with one leg on the ground and one lifted in the air....

Wow... how many shots did it take to grab this marvelous wonder?
You did say 'witless', didn't you? Yeah, that's what I thought you meant.

The great thing about PBase is being able to send out a fellow PBaser to get the right settings! Very envious of this picture. Another one to inspire us to do it for ourselves next time. ~V~
