Wind from the Pond

with apologies to Andrew Wyeth, and Wind from the Sea.
http://andrewwyethgallery.blogspot.com/2006/12/andrew-wyeth-wind-from-sea.html

The original Wind from the Sea hung in my grandparent's home for many years, as Mr Wyeth as a close friend of the family, and my grandfather actively promoted his works as the Curator and Head of the Art Dept't of Amherst College. We grew up seeing and admiring the painting, so when I took a walk to the cottege this morning and saw this shot, I just had to smile.

Canon EOS 20D

I think he could have taken lessons from you Karen. There's a scent of summer in this image.

Very wonderful and really special, Karen. It's great that you could echo a memory of your childhood like this.
