This was the largest commercial office building in the world when it opened in 1896.

I also remember the DMV being here. It was another time...for me it was the early 70's..

In college at Buffalo State, I did work study for one of the Dept. Chairs. He smoked a pipe and was quite particular about his tobacco. I would drive down to the Ellicott Square Bldg where there was a tobacconist he bought from, and pick up his order of special blend. I also bought gem stones for jewelry I made from a gemologist in this building. I loved every time I came to this gorgeous building!

Back in 1968 this is where the Selective Service Draft Board was located.
It was also where the USAF recruiters worked. My 21 year career with the
Air Force started here.

This building is truly beautiful. Inside the design is very detailed and intricate, as I remember. The DMV was in this building. I remember getting my learner's permit here, and scheduling for my road test.
