Early 80's Karl R. Josker

Charlie Baker's, Genesee Street between Ellicott and Oak.

These buildings are still standing, sort of; they appear gutted and are merely shells, waiting for restoration.

Jay and L Baker - Your dad was the MAN. While most neighborhoods had their "place to shop" eg. United Mens in Kensington, Riverside Mens in Riverside and Petrucci's ih S. Bflo, if you were into clothes in the 60's, Charlie Bakers's was the place to go.

Bremer's Pub is actually home to Eddie Brady's Pub now. That is the only business within that block. Hopefully someone with intelligence could have the foresight to turn this block into residental, bars, resturants, etc.
Some months back there was an article in the Buffalo News stating that an "efffort"was underway to renovate these buildings.
