The Dock

It's the end of a long day, and it's back to the dock for the boat ride home. I can still hear the Canadiana's steam whistle calling all to board.

I can remember being kids and going to Crystal Beach on Blasdell Day with coupons out of the Bufala Evening News for discounts on the Canadiana boat.
On the return rde home from the beach, remember hiding fire crackers in our pockets
and packages fearing we would get caught. After all that fear and sweat we never got caught,we were really proud of ourselves . BOY what good memories .

Thanks so much for this site. I have so many fond memories of Crystal Beach. My Church would rent a bus and we would go every year. I live in California now, but me and my friends alway talk about Crystal Beach. Especially the Coment and the french fries with vinegar....thanks for the memories.

Thanks for the trip Karl. It took me back sixty years to being a little girl at Crystal Beach. My parents actually met on the Canadian and danced at the Ballroom every Saturday night after that. Loved your site. Marilyn Jewett Tracey

FOR THOSE OF U WHO CAN REMEMBER ON THE CRYSTAL BEACH DOCK, WHERE YOU WENT THRU CUSTOMS, THEY HAD A WOODEN JAIL TYPE YELLOW WOOD FENCE ENCLOSURE. FOUND OUT WHAT THIS WAS FOR BACK THEN, WHEN I TOLD THE CUSTOMS GUY, WHEN HE ASKED ME WHERE I WAS BORN, I TOLD HIM IN A HOSPITAL!!!!!!HE DID'NT THINK IT WAS FUNNY AND LOCKED ME UP UNTIL EVERYONE ON THE BOAT WAS OFF AND ENJOYING THE PARK......WAS NOT CUTE!!!!!!!
