This lighthouse was built in 1833, replacing an older light that was built in 1818. It sits on a Coast Guard base, and has not been regularly publicly accessible since 9/11; however, great views can be had from Buffalo's Erie Basin Marina. In the picture, the Jules Vern-looking thing to the right is one of two of the Buffalo bottle-lights; and the current active Buffalo light, the Buffalo Breakwater, can be seen to the left.
