I used film for this image and scanned the sepia-toned print. It formed part of a photo-essay in my Degree Show in 1984 and was later published by The Field magazine. The images were taken in oak woods near Montgomery, Powys, Wales. The poacher had laid purse nets at the warren exits and sent in a ferret to flush out the rabbits. In this shot, he is waiting silently for them to emerge. The lurcher is used to catch any poor old rabbits that evade the nets.
