The Canary Wharf was the busiest dockland in London from the beginning of 19th century. However, the port industry was declined from 1950 and fully closed in 1980.
The work for converting to business district was completed in 1991. The first commercial building is One Canada Square.
It is the tallest building in Canary Wharf district. Now, Canary Wharf is the new business district of London.
